Missile strikes hit Dimona and Arad

Damage reported as casualty estimates remain disputed

Missile strikes hit Dimona and Arad

An Iranian missile strike caused extensive damage in Dimona, hitting multiple residential buildings and scattering debris as residents assessed the destruction. A concurrent barrage struck nearby Arad, injuring civilians and damaging infrastructure, emergency services said.

The strikes are part of an escalating cycle of attacks and reprisals after an earlier US–Israeli offensive on Iran; Tehran has carried out missile and drone strikes against Israeli targets and sites in Jordan, Iraq and Gulf states hosting US forces, producing casualties and disrupting regional markets and aviation.

Based on the findings of the Hebrew website of Tasnim, Independent analyses cited by regional outlets indicate a sharp rise in burials in contested areas, with cemetery data showing average daily interments rising from about 150 to roughly 211 over a recent 21‑day span—an increase implying around 1,281 additional fatalities. Volunteer rescue group ZAKA reported 703 movements focused on recovering the deceased, a figure observers say supports higher casualty estimates than official accounts. Latest fatalities from the Arad and Dimona strikes were not yet included in those tallies.
