Iran warns of harsher response to attacks

According to Tasnim, Iranian military sources warned that the armed forces have prepared new scenarios and capabilities to confront the United States and its allies if they carry out any hostile action, saying a "third version" of Iran’s fighting will be demonstrated in new equipment, targets, tactics and strategy. The source, quoted by Tasnim, said trans‑regional fronts would be opened in retaliation and that any attempt by the US to extract concessions through force is blocked; excessive demands or military action would bring what was described as a third major punishment in less than a year.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reiterated similar warnings, saying Washington and Israel had failed to learn from prior strategic defeats and asserting that Tehran had not used all of its capabilities during recent confrontations. The IRGC’s statement cautioned that renewed aggression would expand the conflict beyond the region and that future strikes would be more destructive and far-reaching than before. Officials framed the threat as concrete military preparedness rather than rhetoric, stressing readiness to demonstrate power "on the battlefield" and promising crushing blows in locations enemy leaders "cannot imagine."

Analysts say such declarations aim both to deter further pressure from the US and Israel and to signal to regional actors that Iran retains undeployed options for escalation. The rhetoric raises risks of wider confrontation if miscalculation occurs, complicating diplomatic efforts to de‑escalate tensions already heightened by recent clashes and mutual reprisals.
