Houthis claim missile strike on Israel

Yemen enters regional conflict

Yemenis took to the streets in the capital city of Sanaa and other areas under Houthi control to mark the 11th anniversary of Yemen's war and show support for Iran and Lebanon, with the Houthi group signaling that they may intervene militarily in the ongoing tensions in the region.

Yemeni Armed Forces announced they have joined the conflict in support of Iran and allied “Resistance” groups in Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine, declaring direct military intervention in response to what they described as ongoing US‑Israeli aggression.

Spokesman Yahya Saree said the forces launched an initial operation using multiple ballistic missiles against Israeli military sites in southern occupied Palestine, claiming the strike met its objectives and coincided with actions by Iran and Hezbollah.

Saree warned operations will continue until the offensive against resistance fronts stops and said Yemen is prepared to escalate if US or Israeli actions persist, other parties join the aggression, or the Red Sea is used for hostile operations against Muslim countries.

The statement frames Yemen’s intervention as retaliation for attacks on civilian infrastructure and alleged crimes against regional allies; independent verification of the claimed strikes and results was not provided.
