Hezbollah launches over 100 attacks
Clashes with Israeli forces hit northern towns and army bases
Hezbollah reported carrying out more than 100 operations against Israeli forces within 24 hours, saying attacks reached 103 by the time of its statement. The group said it launched heavy rocket fire at an Israeli settlement and the Upper Galilee region, triggering sirens in Metula, and fired at least 30 rockets toward areas including the Galilee and Haifa Bay, striking a broad northern belt from Zar'it to Haifa and Karmiel.
It also claimed precision missile strikes on three Israeli army bases—Eliakim, Tifon and the Zev air-defense base—and said a Merkava tank was destroyed; another tank was reportedly hit between the heights of Mhaysibat and Qantara. Hezbollah reported close-quarters clashes with Israeli soldiers in Naqoura and drone strikes on troop concentrations.
Israeli media described the barrage as the heaviest from Lebanon since the war began. Israeli forces requested reinforcements along the northern border, and the army confirmed the death of an officer from Battalion 77 of the 7th Armored Brigade during the fighting. The developments reflect an escalation in coordinated, multi-front exchanges along the Lebanon–Israel border.
